"Colour Heals" — Softening the scars with colour.

There are moments in childhood that shape us—some beautiful, others filled with words that leave invisible scars. For many, those hurtful words linger, their impact echoing long into adulthood. My latest piece, Colour Heals, is a reflection of that journey: a journey through pain, resilience, and transformation.

As a child, I knew the sting of cruel words: ugly, worthless, unwanted. These words didn’t fade easily; they etched themselves into my world, each one a silent wound. I couldn’t erase them, but I discovered something powerful—colour. Colour became my refuge, a quiet defiance against the darkness. With every brushstroke, I softened the hurt, covering the shadows with something beautiful. Not to forget the pain, but to transform it.

Colour Heals is more than a painting. It’s a reminder that pain can be softened, that creativity can offer a shield, and that beauty can emerge from even the darkest places. This piece stands for all those who have felt the weight of words and have found a way to rise, colouring their world with courage and hope.
