My painted friend

I didn’t have any friends back then, so I made my own. I’d sit for hours, brush in hand, and paint someone who would always be there, right beside me. My imaginary friend had the biggest smile and kind eyes—everything I needed to feel less alone. The colours would drip and swirl around us, and I’d get lost in the feeling that someone was finally with me, even if they were only on the wall. This painting captures a memory from my heart, a piece of my childhood where imagination filled the spaces that real friends couldn’t. Every brushstroke is a reminder that creativity gave me comfort and companionship when I needed it most.
